Savvy is offered for use in the U.S. only.
1) Information we collect
Information you provide
- Account: name, email, password (hashed), phone (verification & fraud prevention).
- Store owners: business name, logo, address, contact info, and deals you publish.
- Support: messages and attachments you send us.
- Payments: not applicable — we don’t process payments or collect billing info.
Collected automatically
- Device & usage: app version, OS/browser, language, time zone, pages/screens viewed, interactions, crashes, diagnostics.
- Push tokens: to deliver notifications (opt out via device/browser settings).
- Location (optional): if granted or entered; used to sort deals by distance. No continuous background location required.
- Web tech: cookies/local storage for sign-in and preferences; analytics to improve the Service.
From third parties
- Google Maps/Places for geocoding and maps.
- reCAPTCHA (web) to help block spam/abuse.
2) How we use information
- Provide, maintain, and secure the Service.
- Create/manage accounts; verify email/phone for security and fraud prevention.
- Publish store profiles and deals and show them to users.
- Personalize discovery (e.g., sort by distance when enabled).
- Send service messages (verification, security, critical updates) and optional deal notifications (you can opt out).
- Monitor performance, debug issues, and prevent spam, fraud, and abuse.
We do not sell your personal information or use it for cross-context behavioral advertising.
4) Data retention
We retain account info while your account is active. If you delete your account, we delete or anonymize personal data within a reasonable period, except where required by law or needed for security/fraud prevention. Backups persist for a limited time.
Re-signup prevention: on deletion, we may retain your email (or a salted hash) solely to block creating a new account with the same email; not used for any other purpose.
5) Your choices
Delete account & data: request at https://savvy-app.com/delete-account or email contact@savvy-app.com with subject “Privacy Request — Delete My Account.” We’ll verify your identity before deletion, subject to lawful retention.
You can turn off push notifications anytime in device/browser settings.
6) Your privacy rights (U.S., including California)
You may have rights to access, correct, or delete personal information. California residents also have the right to know, delete, correct, limit use of sensitive info, and be free from discrimination for exercising rights.
How to request: email contact@savvy-app.com with subject “Privacy Request” (access/correction/deletion), or use https://savvy-app.com/delete-account. We will verify your identity.
Categories (past 12 months): identifiers (name, email, phone), credentials (hashed), approximate location (if provided), internet/device activity, push tokens, store profile info you publish, and support messages. We do not collect payment/billing data.
Selling/Sharing: none for cross-context behavioral advertising.
7) Security
We use administrative, technical, and organizational measures (TLS, authentication, role-based access, least-privilege). No system is 100% secure—protect your credentials and report issues.
8) Children’s privacy
Not directed to children under 13; we don’t knowingly collect data from them. Contact us to remove such data.
9) International transfers
We operate in the U.S. If you access from elsewhere, you consent to processing in the U.S. (Service is intended for U.S. users.)
10) Third-party services
- Firebase (Google): auth, database, storage, analytics, crash reporting, messaging.
- Google Maps/Places: geocoding and maps.
- reCAPTCHA (web): spam/abuse prevention; subject to Google’s privacy & terms.
11) Changes
We may update this policy. We’ll post updates here and change the effective date; material changes may include additional notice.
